On the LED retrofit jobs that we did in the past there seemed to be 3 items that were important to the end users.

1. Longevity of LED

LED lamps can far outlast any other lighting technology, reducing the typical lamp and ballast maintenance expenses that  are incurred on a bi yearly or yearly basis. If you have a parking lot with 20 poles and each pole has 4 lighting fixtures. Those costs can add up quickly.

2. Cost of operation

LED fixtures use a fraction of the energy to operate, compared to a fixture with similar lighting output of other lighting technologies

3. Rebates

BG&E offered rebates to switch to LED. BG&E was giving up to $50.00 per fixture in rebates, the fixture had to be listed on the DLC list approved and. A paperwork package had to be submitted to BG&E and approved.  It was in this process that the customer could really see his R.O.I on switching to LED. Between the rebates and savings on energy usage a typical R.O.I. is 6 to 8 years, well before any maintenance on the product is needed.
